CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt will hold a candlelight vigil to help raise awareness of lung cancer on Thursday, Nov. 6, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event is an effort to honor survivors and remember those who were lost to the disease as well as help raise awareness.
Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer in both men and women in the U.S. and worldwide, killing more people than breast, prostate and colon cancers combined.
The vigil will be held at Hudson Valley Hospital’s Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center at 1978 Crompond Road in Cortlandt Manor.
