Airborne Car Crashes Into Home In Region, Police Say An out-of-control car that went airborne after hitting an embankment struck a home in the region. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30 on Route 9G in the town of Red Hook. According to Red Hook Police, the crash took place when a 2002 Subaru driven by a 41-year-old Catskills man was driving south on Walkers Hill Road when the car crossed into the northbound lane, struck an embankment, became airborne, and hit the home. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Monday, July 3 on Route 9G near the intersection of Lasher Road in the town of Red Hook. Red Hook Police said officers responded to a call for help after the driver found himself trapped on the roof of his SUV which was partially submerged in a creek with fast-moving water. 3 Teens Hospitalized After Rollover Crash In Front Of Area Deli Three Hudson Valley teens were hospitalized following a rollover, head-on collision in front of a deli. The crash took place in Dutchess County around 2:45 p.m., on Monday, March 20 on Route 9 in front of the Cornucopia Deli in Red Hook. An investigation revealed that a 2002 Jeep being operated by a 16-year-old girl from Milan was northbound on Route 9. A 2001 Chevrolet being driven by an 83-year-old Red Hook woman attempted to exit the Cornucopia Deli parking lot failing to yield to the Jeep resulting in a head-on collision, Red Hook Police said. Good Samaritans Rescue Woman Run Over By Vehicle Outside Red Hook Convenience Store The quick actions of two Good Samaritans are credited with rescuing a woman who was run over by a vehicle outside a convenience store in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened in Dutchess County on Friday, Feb. 10 at approximately 2:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the Extra Mart located at 2 West Market St. in the village of Red Hook.
