Two brothers have been found guilty of killing a man found lying dead in his driveway in the region.
Orange County resident Junando Dawkins, age 30, of Newburgh, and his brother, Juwaugh Dawkins, age 34, of Jacksonville, Florida, were convicted on Monday, April 29, in Ulster County Court of murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Jet Ski Driver Critical, Passenger Killed During Crash On Hudson River In Region
A passenger on a jet ski was killed and the driver critically injured following a crash with another watercraft on the Hudson River over Memorial Day weekend.
The crash took place in Orange County around 2:50 p.m., Saturday, May 27 in the city of Newburgh.

After years of renovation and development work, a new tavern overlooking the Hudson River has finally opened its doors, serving up colorful cocktails, wood-fired pizza, and “elevated” pub food.
Greene County eatery Patrick Henry’s, located in Coxsackie at 48 South River Street, welcomed its first diners on Friday, April 7.

Missing 20-Year-Old From Region Found Dead
A missing man's body has been recovered from the Hudson River by police.
The body of Jordan Jones, age 20, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was found on Friday, May 13 in the Hudson River.
Using dental records, the Dutchess County Medical Examiner's Office positively identified the body as being Jones, who was last seen on Saturday, April 30, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark of the city of Poughkeepsie Police.
"There is no evidence of foul play, the exact cause of death is pending toxicology results," Clark said.
