Traffic Alert: Lane Reductions Expected Along I-84 In Hudson Valley Commuters should note that a section of I-84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge painting. The New York State Department of Transportation is advising Dutchess County motorists that I-84 between Exit 44 (Route 52) in the Town of Fishkill and Exit 46 (Route 9) in the Town of East Fishkill, Mondays through Saturdays, beginning Monday, Aug. 12, through Monday, Sept. 30, between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For up-to-date travel information, call 511, or visit www.511NY.org.

Man Accused Of Possessing Child Porn In Hudson Valley After Search Of Home A 37-year-old man from the region is facing charges after authorities discovered him to be in possession of child pornography, police announced.  Dutchess County resident Daniel Arnold of Holmes, age 37, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 22 in connection with an investigation into child pornography conducted by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and the US Department of Homeland Security, the Sheriff's Office announced.  According to authorities, Arnold is charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child, a felony.  As part of the investigation leading to Arnold's arr…

Hudson Valley Gets $38M For ‘Environmentally Friendly’ Pedestrian, Biking Projects The Hudson Valley is set to receive more than $38 million in federal funding to help pay for new pedestrian and biking projects around the region. New York was awarded a total of $178.8 million in federal dollars that will go to 75 communities across the state for projects that promote environmentally friendly modes of travel and make it easier and safer to bike and walk, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
