7 Rockland Residents Charged With Selling Drugs In Region Seven Hudson Valley residents have been charged with allegedly selling drugs in cities and towns throughout the area. The residents were reportedly selling cocaine, fentanyl, and prescription pills in the Village of Spring Valley, the Town of Clarkstown, and the Town and Village of Haverstraw, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Man Charged With Murder After Body Of Missing Person Found In West Nyack A Hudson Valley man has been charged with murder after the body of a missing person was located in the region. New York State Police announced the arrest of Rockland County resident Joseph Janulewicz, age 63, of West Nyack second-degree murder late Friday morning, June 17.  On Tuesday, June 14, State Police in Orange County from the Monroe Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) were contacted by the Greenwood Lake Police Department for their assistance in locating a missing person, Brian Romney, age 56, of Greenwood Lake.  State Police assumed the lead in the investigation. 24 Rockland Police Officers Receive Stop DWI Awards Last year, a total of 839 people were arrested in Rockland County for driving while intoxicated. Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco recognized 24 police officers who led the county in arrests to eliminate drunk driving. The officers helped make 44 more arrests last year than the 795 in 2016, according to Day. “These numbers demonstrate that our local law enforcement agencies are working hard to remove irresponsible motorists that choose to drive drunk on our roads and endanger innocent lives," Day said.
