A teenage gang member with a history of violence is facing a host of new charges after allegedly attempting to murder someone outside a Westchester fast-food restaurant, law enforcement authorities announced. A 16-year-old has been indicted for allegedly fatally shooting a man in Westchester County in an incident caught on video. The Yonkers Police Department reported that the Delaware teen was booked by police on Monday, Aug. 9 on the charge of second-degree murder in the death of Javon Merrill, age 27, of Yonkers. A teenager has been sentenced to time behind bars after pleading guilty to assault for his role in a high school stabbing in Westchester County last year. Bryan Stamps, 16, has been sentenced as a Juvenile Offender to a term of between one to three years in state prison for first-degree assault, for his role in the stabbing at New Rochelle High School of a classmate.
