Sisters On Vacation Killed In Hamptons House Fire
Police have released the names of two sisters who were killed during an early-morning house fire on Long Island.
The victims, Jillian Wiener, age 21, and Lindsay Wiener, age 19, both of Potomac, Maryland, were killed in the Southampton hamlet of Noyac around 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3 on Spring Lane.
The family was vacationing from Maryland, said Lt. Susan Ralph, of the Southampton Police.
The children, including the girl's brother Zachary, age 23, were sleeping on the second floor, and the parents were sleeping on the first floor, Ralph said.

ID Released For Victim Of Fatal House Fire In Hudson Valley
A grandfather who died after saving his two young grandchildren from a raging house fire has been identified by police.
Putnam County resident Jintu Zheng, age 65, of Lake Carmel, was found inside the burning home on Scarsdale Road around 10 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, said the Kent Police.
On arrival at the home, Brewster firefighters and Kent police went into the house to look for Zheng as flames engulfed the home, police said.
Zheng was found by a back window. He was rushed to Putnam Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

IDs Released For Victims Of Double-Fatal Hudson Valley Fire
The identities have been released for two people who were killed in a massive Hudson Valley fire.
Dutchess County residents Jenny Yang, age 24, and Wangdi Tamang, age 30, bother of Millerton, were killed around 8 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, when they could not escape a house fire on Route 22, said the New York State Police.
When Troopers arrived, the house was engulfed in flames and told there were possibly two people still inside, state police said.
