Police, FBI Still Searching For Rockland County Man Wanted For Killing Daughter-In-Law
Although nearly 11 years have passed since the brutal murder of a Hudson Valley mother allegedly by her father-in-law, local police, the FBI, and the US Marshals Service have not given up the hunt for the man responsible.

A Hudson Valley man was convicted of slashing a man he did not know with a box cutter as he walked with his wife on an area sidewalk.
Rockland County resident Darius Williams, age 34, of Spring Valley, was found guilty on Monday, Aug. 7 following a four-day jury trial, said Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh.
On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, around 6 p.m., Williams slashed a Haverstraw resident in the face with what appeared to be a box cutter, the DA's office said.

65-Year-Old From Rockland Found Guilty Of Sexually Abusing, Raping 15-Year-Old
A 65-year-old man was found guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl in the Hudson Valley.
Rockland County resident Jimmie Moore, of Haverstraw, was found guilty of third-degree rape, third-degree attempted rape, and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.
The trial began on Monday, June 13, and ended on Monday, June 27, according to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh on Wednesday, June 29.
Investigators found that Moore sexually abused and raped the victim in Haverstraw from May 1, 2019, through July 20, 2019, the DA's Office reported.

Teen Admits To Fatally Shooting Man At Apartment Complex In Rockland
A teen has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the shooting death of a Hudson Valley man in 2019.
Jayden Rodriguez, age 19, from the Township of North Bergen, New Jersey, made the plea on Tuesday, May 1, for the homicide which took place in Spring Valley, according to Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh.
During his plea, Rodriguez admitted that on or about Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, he entered a Spring Valley apartment building and fired numerous shots at an individual identified as 20-year-old Emerson Jean-Baptiste, ultimately causing his death, Walsh said.

A suspect has been apprehended after a mother and her daughter were found shot to death at an area residence early last week.
The incident took place in Rockland County in a cottage in the rear of 104 Lake Road in Valley Cottage on Tuesday, May 26.
The two, 63-year-old Wanda Castor and 27-year-old Kathleen Castor, both of Valley Cottage, were found with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, said Clarkstown Police Chief Ray McCullagh.

Two men have been charged and the victim has been identified after a 20-year-old man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in Rockland.
It happened at about 11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1 in Spring Valley in the area of the complex at 150 Liberty Parkway, police said.
