Rockland Gets $3.6M From State Bridge NY Program Rockland County has been awarded four grants totaling more than $3.6 million through the state’s Bridge NY initiative. The first grant is worth $1.92 million and is intended to replace the bridge on Grassy Point Road over the Minisceongo Creek. Rockland County also received $808,000 intended to replace the culvert below Call Hollow Road at the Minisceongo Creek, $348,000 to replace the culvert on Townline Road for a tributary to the Hackensack River and $550,000 to replace the culvert on Hungry Hollow Road for a tributary to the Saddle River. Update: Female Body Pulled From Hackensack River Authorities recovered a female body from the Hackensack River on Sunday, local police said. UPDATE: Body Pulled From River ID'd As Missing Woman, 26 First responders arrived just after 10 a.m. following a report of an unidentified body in the water behind the Shops at Riverside, authorities said. The body was recovered at 12:20 p.m., Hackensack Lt. Darrin Dewitt told Daily Voice. Responders including the Hackensack police and fire departments, Oradell Fire Department, Bergenfield Fire Department and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office worked for more than two hours to recover the body.

Services Set For Missing Woman, 26, Found In Hackensack River Services for Wallington's Sylvia Lubak have been set. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Paterson followed by a private cremation. The 26-year-old's body was found Sunday in the Hackensack River and identified by Bogota Police on Monday, authorities told Daily Voice. Lubak was born in Poland and moved to the U.S. in 2000 when she was eight years old. Police: Body Pulled From River ID'd As Missing Woman, 26 Police identified the woman whose body was pulled from the Hackensack River over the weekend as a missing 26-year-old who had been living in Bogota. Bogota Police Detective Victor Negron said his department identified the body as Sylvia Lubak on Monday. Negron could not release more information due to an ongoing investigation.
