Potholes? $4.1 Million Repaving Project Coming To Rockland County Roadway Drivers who complain daily about the terrible paving on a busy Hudson Valley roadway will soon find some relief with the release of $4.1 million for resurfacing. New York State Sen. Bill Weber (R-District 38) announced on Thursday, Dec. 7 the release of funds for the resurfacing of Route 45 in Rockland County from East Eckerson Road to the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Ramapo and other towns. 29-Year-Old Drunk Driver Crashes Off Roadway In Latest Rockland DWI Accident, Police Say Police reported their third DWI arrest, all stemming from intoxicated motorists unintentionally off-roading, with two crashes resulting in rollovers in Rockland, in the span of a week. Two Hospitalized In Rockland Crash Two drivers, whose cars were totaled, were reportedly transported to hospitals after a serious crash in the area, according to police. Police in Rockland County responded to the incident in Ramapo at the intersection of East Eckerson Road and Rockland Lane in the wee hours of the morning on Friday, Sept. 25.  One drivers was transported to Westchester Medical, and the other was transported to Nyack Hospital.

Passenger Suffers Injuries After Drunk Driver Flees Scene Of Rockland Crash, Police Say A man driving drunk who fled the scene of a crash was located along with an injured passenger, police say. It happened just after midnight on Sunday, Jan. 18 in Ramapo. Police say when officers arrived at the scene of the one-car crash on East Eckerson Road, the driver, a 33-year-old Spring Valley man, had fled the scene. They located him at a home on Northbrook Road in Hillcrest, where he was arrested for DWI. A passenger was also found at the home and was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident took place Wednesday, Sept. 11, on Sherman Drive, in Ramapo, Ramapo Police said.
