Hudson Valley Man Busted With Heroin, Cocaine, 'Billy Club' In State Police Stop
A Hudson Valley man with a warrant out for his arrest was one of two busted by New York State Police troopers with drugs and an illegal weapon during a traffic stop, officials announced.
Troopers from the Catskill barracks in Greene County stopped a 2004 Acura TSX on West Bridge Street in the Town of Catskill for violating traffic laws.
During the stop, police said that it was determined the driver, Angelo Salvatore, age 38, and his passenger, Dutchess County resident Michael Scalice, age 35, of Red Hook, were in possession of cocaine and heroin.

A New York man has been arrested for allegedly possessing 24 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.
Roqun T. Caban, age 20, was arrested on Monday, March 22, after being stopped by state police in Orange County around 3 a.m. on I-87 in the town of Newburgh for a traffic violation, said Trooper Tara McCormick.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers located more than 24 pounds of marijuana, McCormick said.

A 62-year-old man was allegedly busted with more than 15 ounces of cocaine during a traffic stop by state police.
Hectoer L. Diaz, of the Bronx, was arrested on Friday, March 12, after being stopped by state police on I-90 in the town of Florida, said Trooper Tara McCormick.
While interviewing Diaz, it was determined that the vehicle displayed a forged New Jersey temporary plate. Diaz also produced a forged paper registration, matching the plate, McCormick said.

Destiny S. Pettway, age 30, of Newburgh, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 26, by New York State Police after troopers responded to a report of a sick person on I-87 in the town of Bethlehem, said Trooper Tara McCormick.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on numerous drug and traffic charges after being stopped by state police.
Ulster County resident Eric Tischler, of the Town of Ulster, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 16, after being stopped in his 2003 Audi A4 by state police for a traffic violation, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
During the stop, the trooper found that Tischler was driving on a suspended license and that he was allegedly in possession of numerous drugs, including cocaine, Alprazolam, and Lorazepam, and concentrated cannabis contained in a vaporizer cartridge.
