Man Rushed To Hospital By Helicopter After Being Pinned Between Car, Building In Hudson Valley
A man was critically injured after becoming pinned between a car and a building in the Hudson Valley, firefighters said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Feb. 2 around 12:30 p.m., when a vehicle that had been put on a mechanical lift suddenly accelerated forward, pinning a man against a building in Carmel, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department. Horses Rescued After Fire Breaks Out At Hudson Valley Barn
Around a dozen horses had to be rescued from a barn that caught on fire in the Hudson Valley, fire officials announced. The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, Jan. 10 around 8:20 p.m., when the hay storage area inside a barn at the High Point Equestrian Center at 572 East Branch Rd. in Patterson caught on fire, according to the Putnam Lake Fire Department. A firefighter was injured after they were struck by a car while responding to a vehicle rollover in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, March 15, when firefighters and Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps members responded to a vehicle rollover in Carmel on Stoneleigh Avenue near Putnam Hospital, firefighters announced on Saturday, March 18. An area grandfather died after saving his two grandchildren from a fire that destroyed a Hudson Valley home. The fire broke out in Putnam County around 10 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, at a home on Scarsdale Road in Lake Carmel, a hamlet in the town of Kent.
