CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Rockland County school districts are waiting for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to sign a law requiring lead testing before deciding on long-term strategies, according to lohud.com.

Six faucets in 11 BOCES buildings were taken offline after tests revealed they had readings above the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency action level of 20 parts per billion, reported lohud.com.

The Ramapo Central School District had no elevated levels in any of its 370 drawn samples, and officials are discussing a testing protocol to finalize in the coming months, said lohud.com.
