Power Returns For Thousands In Hudson Valley After Squirrel Caper

A squirrel traipsing through an electric transformer temporarily knocked out power Sunday to thousands of Orange & Rockland Utilities customers west of the Hudson River, according to News 12.

The outage started Sunday morning, but power was back on by the afternoon to about 3,600 customers, News 12 says. 

In a separate but related issue, customers in Monroe reported a power outage Thursday and said it has become a growing problem in that area, News 12 reports.
