Police Charge Girl In Rockland Underage Drinking Party

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police have charged a teenage girl with violating the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law during a party at a local residence.

The Ramapo Police Department received an anonymous complaint of underage drinking at a house party in the Village of Airmont on Saturday at approximately 11:16 p.m., police report.

Officers responded and observed approximately 30 guests under the age of 21 at the residence, according to officials.

Upon further investigation, the officers discovered that 15 of the guests had consumed an alcoholic beverage, police report.

The adult homeowners were not present, but the 16-year-old daughter was; she was arrested and charged with an Alcoholic Beverage Control Law violation, according to officials.

In addition to the incident in Airmont, there were two reported motor vehicle accidents in the Town of Ramapo on Saturday, police report.

The accidents occurred at Fourth Street Bridge in Hillburn and West Eckerson Road in Hillcrest, according to officials.

In total, the Ramapo Police Department responded to 104 calls for service, 11 medical emergencies, two fires, 14 alarm activations and made one arrest on Saturday, according to officials.
