Rockland County Recognizes May As Mental Health Awareness Month

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- To help recognize May as Mental Health Month, Rockland County Executive Ed Day joined Rena Finkelstein of NAMI and others to raise a National Alliance on Mental Illness flag in front of the county office building.

During the month, NAMI Rockland will sponsor a countywide ribbon campaign that includes placing large white ribbons with the blue and gold NAMI logo at prominent locations throughout the county. Finkelstein and other members of the group want to use the occasion to let people know about the services that are offered locally.
