Rockland County Executive Honors County Employees

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Honoring the hard work of public employees who help residents everyday is what the annual Department of Social Services Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony is all about.

Last week, during the annual event, Rockland County Executive Ed Day joined Department of Social Services Commissioner Susan Sherwood in doing just that.

"It is very important to recognize the valuable services and contributions that county employees provide to our community. We are proud of the work they do, day in and day out, to make Rockland County a great place to live, work and visit,” Day said.

The ceremony honored individuals and work groups for excellence in public service, customer service and case handling in 2015.

Some award winners included Department of Social Services staffers Susan Emanuel, Natalia Herrera and Georgia Gentile.
