CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The people whose businesses depend on visitors from across the Hudson River are concerned about what kind of affect a possible toll hike on the new Tappan Zee Bridge might have on business, according to lohud.com.
In addition to the toll hike, traffic is another issue business owners are worried about regarding the bridge, the story said. Many said traffic can back up for miles now, and are worried that situation may become worse with the new bridge, reported lohud.com.
The same business owners also are hopeful the new bridge might, as promised, solve some of the area's traffic snarls, the story said. While some believe a higher toll could lead to a small drop-off in customers, others are hoping if traffic lightens up, additional opportunities will open up on both sides of the bridge, said lohud.com.
