The play will be performed on Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. at the theater, located on the third level of City Center off Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.
Tickets for the show are $20 and $25.
A musical spoof of the 1960 Roger Corman Film, “Little Shop of Horrors” features the misadventures of a hapless florist shop clerk named Seymour, who offers his tender love and care to a plant that feeds on human blood.
The plant, Audrey II, named after Seymour’s secret love, quickly becomes a fascinating attraction in the neighborhood called Skid Row.
The score, composed by Alan Menken with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, follows the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and Motown.
The new production is directed by Ariana Moses, WPPAC’s Director of Education, with music direction by Paul Loman and choreography by Lexie Fennell Frare of Nyack.
The WPPAC Theatre includes actors in grades 7 through 12.
Several members of the production staff are from Rockland County.
Production designs for the show include scenic design by Katie McGeorge of Haverstraw.
The stage manager of the production is Allison Schneider of New City, with technical direction by Kyle Stormes of Nanuet.
