Police K9 Helps Track Down DWI Suspect In Northern Westchester
A police canine helped track down a 23-year-old man who allegedly drank, drove, struck several things before attempting to flee on foot in Mount Kisco, investigators said. Westchester County Police received a report of a Toyota Scion which was traveling on Kisco Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, striking a parked car and a lamppost before coming to a rest against a tree near Hillside Avenue. Water Main Break Causing Road Closures In Mount Kisco
A water main break has resulted in road closures in Mount Kisco on Wednesday morning. Avoid Lieto Drive and Maple Avenue, the Mount Kisco Police Department said in an alert issued just before 7 a.m. Residents in those areas should also anticipate low water pressure. Lieto Drive is closed at Lexington Avenue, prohibiting access to Maple Avenue. Maple Avenue is closed at West Main Street, prohibiting access to Lieto Drive. Identity Theft At Bank, Accosted Driver, Top Mount Kisco Police Blotter
A 49-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to use a false identity at a Mount Kisco bank, according to a county police spokesperson. Westchester County Police investigators arrested Bronx resident Howard Walker shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, after officers were dispatched to People’s United Bank on South Moger Avenue, where there was a report from staff about a possible fraud attempt.
