Maintenance workers at an iconic Westchester country club known for hosting the US Open called off a strike vote amid negotiations for a new labor contract, union officials announced. Stop & Shop Workers Go On Strike In Connecticut, Two Other States
Following weeks of negotiations on a new contract, 31,000 Stop & Shop employees have walked out and announced they will be going on strike in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Indian Point Employees Ready To Strike
BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- The union that represents employees of Indian Point Entergy Center in Buchanan said they are prepared to go on strike if negotiations with Entergy, which runs the plant, go nowhere. "If there is a strike...it will be only because Entergy does not appear to be making the same effort at the bargaining table," James Slevin, the Local 1-2 President said Wednesday.
