A person was sent to a trauma center after they were struck by a vehicle near a Northern Westchester shopping center. The incident happened on Tuesday, Feb. 14 around 4:30 p.m., when a person was hit in Croton-on-Hudson on Maple Street near the Van Wyck Shopping Center, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. A police department in Northern Westchester has issued an alert after a new skimming device was found at the same bank that was targeted earlier this year. In Croton-on-Hudson, police are advising that an additional ATM skimmer was located at the Wells Fargo branch on Maple Street on Thursday, April 21. Patrons at a bank branch in Northern Westchester are being advised to check their account balances after a skimming device was located in an ATM. Temporary Water Shutdown, Road Closure Announced In Croton-On-Hudson
Water service will be disrupted and roads closed in Croton-on-Hudson as crews conduct hydrant work in the village. Elected officials in Croton-on-Hudson issued an alert warning that beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, water will be turned off in the vicinity of Maple Street, and later on Old Post Road South at approximately 9 p.m. Officials said that residents who will be affected have been notified of the shutdown. During the hydrant work, Maple Street will be closed westbound between Grand Street and Old Post Road South. Eastbound traffic is not expected to be impacted.
