White Plains resident Nickohlas Davis, 19, was charged with one count of first-degree robbery following a late-night incident in Yonkers on Thursday, Oct. 17, involving a female taxi driver. Police have identified one of two men involved in an alleged armed carjacking of a taxi driver in Westchester County who was apprehended in Cortlandt. The incident took place around 3:13 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, when the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of Elm Street and Walnut Street on a report of a robbery, said Yonkers Police Det. Former Counselor Convicted Of Sexually Abusing Patient Reports Move To Northern Westchester
A former social worker at a guidance center who was convicted of sexually abusing a patient incapable of consenting has reported a move in Westchester. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to local residents regarding the residency of 48-year-old Nelson Acevedo, who has moved from Long Island City to a residence on Albany Post Road in Montrose. The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Acevedo, a former counselor at The Guidance Center of Westchester, as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense." …

Car Crashes Into Storefront Of Busy Northern Westchester Market
A car drove into the storefront of a busy market early Thursday afternoon, sending shoppers scrambling in Northern Westchester. The incident took place around 12:08 p.m. when an elderly man drove into the front of Cole's Market at 2147 Albany Post Road in Montrose, said State Police spokesman AJ Hicks.
