Julius Cole, 105, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. -- Julius Cole, of Norwalk, died on Monday, Dec. 28. He was 105.
Cole was born on Sept. 14, 1910 in Quitman, Georgia, to the late Lucious Cole and Pearl Bell. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and retired from the YMCA of New Canaan after numerous years of service.
He is survived by his wife wife, Rev. Alethea Johnson-Cole; his niece Alice Watkins; his step-daughter, Sharice Johnson; a step-granddaughter Ashley Paulemon; and a god-daughter Cynthia Cruz.

Steven Zarmsky, 59, Of Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Steven F. Zarmsky, of Stamford, died Dec. 25 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford after a long battle with chronic illness.
Born in Stamford, Zarmsky moved to Farmington in the early 1980s and worked for more than 25 years at Farmington Bank, first as an auditor and then in the accounting department. Known by his many friends as "the Z-man," he was an avid fan of the New York Jets and Mets. He enjoyed golfing at the Country Club of Farmington, fishing the Farmington River and spending time with his family.

Carmela Gibson, 76, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Carmela Gibson, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died on Dec. 27. She was 76.
She was born March 26, 1939 the daughter of the late Luigi & Vita Ventresca. Gibson graduated Commerce High School in 1957. On April 4, 1964 she married John W. Gibson, who predeceased her in November. Gibson was an Executive Assistant for Hudson Valley Bank for over 25 years, retiring in 2003.
She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Louis, and Nicholas (Concetta).
