Michael McLoughlin, 83, Of Chappaqua, Former Sheridan’s Food Store Employee

McLoughlin was born on May 21, 1926, in Gubaveeney, Co. Cavan, Ireland, to Michael McLoughlin and Alice Sheridan. He was a former employee of Sheridan's Food Store, Chappaqua and the former owner of the Peach Lake Market, North Salem.

McLoughlin is survived by his children, Rev. Michael P. McLoughlin of Warwick, Maureen T. McLoughlin of Valhalla, Susan A. (John) Enright of Stratford, Conn., and Thomas F. (Kristin) of Poughquag; four grandchildren; and sister, Roseann McManus of Lanes, England. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary; brother Myles McLoughlin; and sister, Minnie Morton.

Calling hours are Tuesday, July 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville with rosary at 3:45 and 7 to 9 p.m. with the wake service at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 at the Church of St. John & St. Mary, 15 St. John's Place, Chappaqua. Interment will follow in the family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in McLoughlin’s name may be made to St. Stephen's Church Building Fund, Warwick or Rosary Hill Home.
