Sen. Greg Ball Seeks Nominations For Women's Hall Of Fame

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – State Sen. Greg Ball is seeking nominations for his Women of Distinction Hall of Fame. Similar to Ball’s Veterans Hall of Fame, the honor roll is designed to recognize outstanding women throughout the 40th Senate District.

Sen. Greg Ball's first annual Women of Distinction Hall of Fame ceremony was held in 2012.

Towns, villages and cities in the district are selecting nominees and will narrow the selection to one person from each town. The deadline for nominations is April 25.

“The Women of Distinction Hall of Fame has been created to honor women who have chosen a path of leadership, living a life of service,” said Ball. “I am urging residents who know someone worthy of this honor to contact their town officials and submit a nomination.”

The ceremony, the second in an annual tradition, will be hosted Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Putnam Emergency Services Building, beginning at 2 p.m.
