Expect Delays: Chappaqua Children's Book Fair Will Cause Closures, Heavy Traffic

Traffic will be tied up on Saturday in downtown Chappaqua for the Children’s Book Fair.

New Castle Police Lt. James Dumser issued an alert cautioning that between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, travel in and around the Chappaqua Business District will be impacted. Dumser noted that there will be high traffic downtown which may cause traffic and delays for motorists.

During the Children’s Book Fair, South Greeley Avenue will be closed between Woodburn Avenue and Washington Avenue. During the book fair, downtown businesses will remain open.

Upwards of 150 authors and illustrators are expected to attend the Chappaqua Children’s Book Fair, which is being held at Bell Middle School for free admission. There will be storytimes, author talks, illustration demos, food trucks, and a family fun zone.
