The incident happened on Monday, Sept. 16, when a lockdown alarm went off at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, New Castle Police said around 11:45 a.m. After officers investigated the incident, they eventually determined that it was an unknown alarm malfunction. Injured Hiker Rescued From Park In Chappaqua
First responders were seen rushing to a park in Northern Westchester to help out an injured hiker stranded in the woods. The rescue happened on Friday, Aug. 24 around 4:15 p.m., when first responders learned a hiker was injured and stuck in the woods at the back of Gedney Park in Chappaqua, according to the Millwood Fire Department. Arriving crews brought a backboard and stokes to the hiker's location and safely took them out of the woods. The hiker was later loaded on an awaiting ambulance, the department added.

Thanks to quick action from firefighters, a Northern Westchester home remained unscathed after a car burst into flames inside its garage.
