Police are investigating after a 74-year-old Connecticut man was killed during a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 55 in the town of Dover, a hamlet of Wingdale, around 3:45 p.m., Thursday, June 13. According to Capt. Driver Airlifted After Crashing Into School Bus In Region
The driver of a minivan was airlifted following a crash with a full-size school bus in the region. The collision occurred in Sullivan County around 8:30 a.m., Monday, May 20, on Route 52 in Jeffersonville. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies found a full-size school bus that had been traveling westbound when it was struck by a minivan traveling east. Support is flooding in for a 4-year-old boy who lost his mother in a head-on crash in the region that also killed a second driver. Rensselaer County resident Tricia Daigneault, age 29, of Hoosick Falls, was one of two women who died in the Washington County wreck, which occurred in White Creek on Wednesday morning, May 15. Authorities have identified a woman killed in a head-on highway crash in the region that left another man injured. The Albany County wreck happened just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, in Bethlehem, on State Route 85 near the Albany city limits. A 28-year-old and 72-year-old man were rushed to the hospital Sunday afternoon, March 24, after they collided in a Berkshire County crash, authorities said. Two New York State Police troopers were seriously injured after a weekend crash. It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday, March 23, in Rensselaer County on I-90 in the town of East Greenbush. An investigation determined a tractor-trailer struck the vehicle that the two troopers were in from behind. The troopers were at the scene after responding to an earlier crash. A 32-year-old man was killed in a late-night crash in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 1 a.m. Friday, March 8, in the town of Greenfield on South Greenfield Road. Sheriff’s officials said Justin Germain, of Greenfield, was driving a 2006 Ford pickup truck when he lost control on a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The collision occurred in Orange County around 12:10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10 on I-87 between Exit 17 in Newburgh and Exit 16 in Harriman. 39-Year-Old Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash On Sand Lake Highway
A local motorist was killed when he collided with another vehicle on a highway in the region. The Rensselaer County crash happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, in Sand Lake, on Route 150, according to New York State Police. Troopers said Steven Zipkin, age 39, of the town of Nassau, was passing several cars on his motorcycle in the southbound lane when he struck a vehicle entering the roadway. Zipkin suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. Nobody else was injured in the wreck. The incident is under investigation by State Police.

Man Charged In Fatal Hit-Run Crash On Thruway In Bethlehem
More than a month after an Albany man survived a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer on the New York State Thruway only to later be killed by a hit-and-run driver, police have made an arrest. Ardit Lleshi, age 25, of Garfield, New Jersey, was taken into custody on June 30 in connection to the death of 48-year-old Michael Tran, according to New York State Police.
