The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, near Dennings Point and Long Dock Park. According to the Beacon Professional Firefighters, IAFF L-Beacon Fire Units, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance, Ambulnz, New Hamburg Fire, and the City of Newburgh firefighters with their boats were dispatched for an overturned kayak with the victim in the water.  Firefighters responded to Dennings Point and Long Dock Park to locate the victim, who was seen in the water.…

The Greene County incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, on I-87 in the town of Catskill. State Police said a motorhome was towing a Jeep when it experienced a mechanical failure that ignited a fire. When troopers arrived, they found the RV on the right shoulder fully engulfed in flames. Rensselaer County resident Jacob Waldron, of Rensselaer, died in May 2023 at the age of 36, according to his obituary. Emergency crews in Warren County were called at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, with reports that two students were lost near Dippikill Pond, located about 10 miles northwest of the town of Warrensburg.
