Man Dies Following 2-Vehicle Crash In Capital Region Despite Efforts Of Good Samaritans
A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy roadway in the region. The incident happened just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, in Saratoga County, on Route 146 in the Town of Clifton Park. According to sheriff’s officials, 53-year-old Geoffrey Gabel, of Halfmoon, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Route 146 when he struck a Nissan SUV making a left turn east of the traffic circle at Route 146A. A 40-year-old man is facing charges after crashing his car while allegedly high on mushrooms with a dog inside, authorities said. New York State Police said troopers in Greene County were called at around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, with reports of a single-vehicle crash on State Route 23A in the town of Hunter. Police have identified two people killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash in the Hudson Valley overnight. It happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 in Orange County on I-87 in the town of Tuxedo. More than 320,000 Nissan vehicles are subject to a recall because of hoods that have reportedly been unexpectedly flying open and blocking drivers’ views.
