Man With 19 Arrests Caught Again In Region With Stolen Property, Cops Say A man on parole with 19 prior arrests and five convictions has been nabbed again for allegedly stealing property. Tobi C. Tobin, age 54, homeless, was arrested on Monday, April 29, in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd for criminal possession of stolen property. According to Chief James Janso of the Lloyd Police Department, Tobin was found in possession of a stolen Trek Mountain bike and a stolen Samsung tablet.  Tobin had previously been arrested by Lloyd Police on Saturday, April 20, for criminal trespass and again on Thursday, April 25, for trespass, Janso said. Convict Charged In Larceny Spree In Region A Hudson Valley man, in prison for another crime, has been charged with a larceny spree in the region. Dutchess County resident William Pascal, age 49, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Thursday, March 7 in Ulster County in Lloyd.  Pascal is accused of going on a larceny spree from June and July 2023 stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Lowes Store in Highland and on two other separate occasions stealing $300 and $125 worth of merchandise from the Hannaford Store in Highland, said Lloyd Police Chief James Janso. Child Rapist From Region Heading To Prison After Jury Trial A 32-year-old man from the region will spend 56 years in prison after being found guilty of child rape. Ulster County resident Charles Burgher, of Highland, was sentenced Friday, Dec. 9 to state prison followed by 15 years post-release supervision. According to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office, Burgher was convicted of five counts of rape and three counts of criminal sexual act following a four-day jury trial in October.
