Driver Busted With 44 Pounds Of Marijuana During Albany Traffic Stop, Police Say

A routine traffic stop in the region ended with a 29-year-old man facing a felony drug charge.

Troopers in Albany County stopped Olandise Warren, of Albany, at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, as he drove I-787 in Albany.

During their interaction, troopers reportedly discovered that he was carrying nearly 44 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle.

A single pound of pot can go from anywhere between $2,000 and $3,000 on the street, according to AddictionResource.net.

Troopers also found a significant amount of cash, though investigators did not provide an exact figure.

At the time of his arrest, Warren did not have a valid driver’s license.

He was arranged at the Albany City Court on one count of criminal possession of cannabis and was later released to the Albany County Probation Department.
