A total of 23 people were charged with driving while impaired/intoxicated in Dutchess County during St Patrick’s High Visibility Community Engagement campaign. Local law enforcement agencies collaborated in a joint effort to reduce the number of impaired drivers on Dutchess County roadways as part of a High Visibility Community Engagement Campaign that ran from Thursday, March 16 to Sunday, March 19. Be ready for possible travel delays in the coming days. Road crews will close one lane along I-84 eastbound and westbound in Dutchess and Putnam counties between Monday, Oct. 3 and Friday, Oct. 7, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. Hudson Valley Gets $38M For ‘Environmentally Friendly’ Pedestrian, Biking Projects
The Hudson Valley is set to receive more than $38 million in federal funding to help pay for new pedestrian and biking projects around the region. New York was awarded a total of $178.8 million in federal dollars that will go to 75 communities across the state for projects that promote environmentally friendly modes of travel and make it easier and safer to bike and walk, according to Gov. Man Nabbed With Weapons Cache, Drugs In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was busted by New York State Police in the Hudson Valley with a weapons small weapons cache, illegal ammunition, and illicit drugs, investigators said. Troopers on patrol from the Stormville barracks stopped Greenwich resident Jason Delvecchio shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 20 on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County, in the Town of East Fishkill, when he committed a traffic violation.
