Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Colonie A 74-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. The Albany County wreck happened at around 1:40 p.m. Friday, June 9, in Colonie, on Crescent Road near Fonda Road. According to Colonie Police, Alexander Ortiz, age 74, of Hannacroix in Greene County, was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Crescent Road when he crossed into the oncoming lane. He then collided with a Nissan Altima and was ejected from the bike. Police Responding To Report Of Body Found Outside North Babylon Home (Developing) Police are investigating reports of a body found outside a home on Long Island. Emergency crews were called at around 3:45 p.m. Friday, June 9, to a home in North Babylon, located on Mohawk Drive near Deer Park Avenue. When officers arrived, they found one person dead in the home’s backyard, according to police radio traffic. The agency was sending a crime scene unit to the home to investigate. Emergency crews were called at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8, with reports of a two-car crash in Smithtown, on Middle Country Road near Highway Place. Tragic Update: Missing Troy Man Found Dead Nearly a week after a 55-year-old man from the region went missing, the search for him has ended in tragedy. Rensselaer County resident Michael Hart, of Troy, had last been seen at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, on Marvin Avenue in Troy, according to police.
