Expect Delays: Work Starts At Busy Hudson Valley Intersection
Traffic will likely be slowed at a busy intersection in the Hudson Valley as crews begin road work. The intersection of Seminary Hill Road and Church Street in the Putnam County town of Carmel will be held up by road work that began on Wednesday, July 24, according to the Carmel Highway Department. Highway Department officials advised motorists in the area to "be patient and allow extra time" as the work may hold up traffic. Motorists can also use Willow Road as an alternate route around the work zone.

Road Work To Delay Traffic Near This Westchester Train Station: Here's When
Road work is expected to slow traffic near a Metro-North train station in Westchester for several days. The traffic delays will occur on East Hartsdale Avenue near the Hartsdale train station from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Friday, Oct. 6, Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner announced on Wednesday, Sept. 27. A scheduled lane closure will soon affect a busy parkway in Westchester to make way for road work. The closure, which will occur on Thursday, July 27, will affect one lane of the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway between Route 119 and Route 110C in Greenburgh, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The lane closure will last between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., officials said.

Plan Ahead: Lane Closures To Affect Busy Roads In Westchester County
Lane closures are set to slow down traffic for commuters on a busy parkway in Westchester County. On Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., northbound lanes of both the Hutchinson River Parkway and King Street in Rye Brook are scheduled to be closed for road work, according to the Rye Brook Police Department. The roadways will still be open to traffic, but only one lane will be open, police said. Work on the southbound lanes of both roadways was completed on Monday, Dec. 5. The New York State Department of Transportation has advised motorists to expect lane closures on the Cross County Parkway in Westchester. Motorists could face delays when road work consisting of milling and paving begins on Dobbs Ferry Road The work, both eastbound and westbound, between Tarrytown Road (Rt. 119) and the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh will begin on Sunday, Nov. 15, and run through Saturday, Nov. 21, said Greenburgh Police Lt.
