Rubber Snake Inside Package Prompts Police Response In Westchester
Officers were called to a Northern Westchester home after a resident discovered what he thought was a snake inside a package. The incident happened on Friday, Nov. 8, when an Armonk resident of Old Mount Kisco Road told police that he had opened a Walmart delivery at his home and had found a snake inside the box, according to North Castle Police. An officer then responded to the residence and checked the package, soon confirming that the reported reptile was, in fact, a fake rubber snake.

New York native Melissa Joan Hart revealed a special connection to the late Cassius the Crocodile. The saltwater croc, who measured 18 feet long and weighed nearly 2,870 pounds, died Saturday, Nov. 2, at an estimated age of 120, Marineland Melanesia in Australia announced on Facebook. Cassius received the Guinness World Record as the largest living captive crocodile in 2011. To The Rescue: Police Officers Help Corral Loose Iguana In Westchester
Jurassic Park came to Westchester on Thursday afternoon. Police officers from the 3rd Precinct in Yonkers were flagged by a local resident on Thursday afternoon, when an iguana was spotted and was on the loose in the area. The officers were able to corral the “not-so-little” reptile, and snapped some photos. The iguana was unharmed during the rescue mission, and was ultimately taken in by the Good Samaritan who alerted police to the stray animal.
