The votes have been tallied, and a projected winner has come out on top in the race for New York's 17th Congressional District seat. Incumbent Republican Rep. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s approval rating dipped slightly in the second month of her first full term in office, according to a brand-new poll. Among the state’s registered voters, Hochul holds an approval rating of 56 to 40 percent, compared to 56 to 36 percent in January, according to a Siena College poll released Monday, Feb. 27.
