19 Patients Dies At Age 65
Andrea Granata served on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, comforting dying patients when their own families could not. Now, loved ones are mourning the loss of the Westchester County native, who died Friday, Sept. 2 at the age of 65, according to her obituary. Granata was born in New Rochelle on May 7, 1957 to parents Dr. Anthony and Teresa Granata, her memorial said. Woman Rescued, Dogs Quarantined After Animal Attack In Westchester
Police in Westchester made a bold rescue after dogs fought amongst themselves before biting one of their owners and forcing another to barricade herself in a bathroom for protection. Officers responded to a First Street home in New Rochelle shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, where there was a report of a dog-biting incident. Upon arrival at the home, New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosmo Costa said officers found an injured 25-year-old man who was the owner of five pit bulls. James MacArthur Masterson died on Monday, Oct. 28 after a short illness. The son of Walter J. Masterson and Anne (MacArthur) Masterson, he was born Oct. 27, 1946. Jim had lived in many places over the years and was residing in Yonkers at the time of his death. He attended Gorton High School in Yonkers and was one of the original members of the North End Surf Club. Jim was a Vietnam Era Veteran, having served honorably on destroyers in the U. S. Navy.
