Several roads were closed in a Westchester village after a storm rolled through the region and felled trees and downed power lines. In Scarsdale, the Department of Public Works issued an alert on Monday, May 23 to advise that following the overnight storm, several roads were closed due to downed trees. An early morning speeding stop in Westchester led to the arrest of a 48-year-old man who damaged a holding cell after being taken into custody for allegedly driving drunk with a child in the car, police said. Unlicensed Driver In Scarsdale Charged With Second DWI, Police Say
A Larchmont man with a previous DWI conviction was allegedly under the influence when he was stopped for driving recklessly in Scarsdale, police said. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 was alerted to an erratic driver on Heathcote Road who proceeded north onto Church Lane before being stopped by a separate unit. Driver With Multiple License Suspensions, Open Warrant, Busted By Police In Westchester
A 48-year-old man who had his license suspended four times for various offenses was arrested in Westchester over the weekend. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol near the intersection of Heathcote Road and Palmer Avenue stopped Bronx resident John Adorno at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Friday, March 29, when an alarm sounded that his vehicle had a suspended or revoked registration.
