Chipotle Adds Item To Win Back Customers After E. Coli Outbreak Chipotle has added chorizo to its menu in an effort to win back customers after last year's E. coli outbreak, according to multiple reports. Chorizo, a spicy chicken and pork sausag, will only be available in select cities including New York City starting Wednesday, according to Fortune. The fast casual chain plans to introduce it nationally this fall. Chipotle also recently announced plans to launch a loyalty program to reward frequent customers with free meals, said NBC New York. West Patent Educator Earns Excellence In Teaching Award BEDFORD, N.Y. -- West Patent Elementary School teacher Dorothy Venditto recently received the Empire State Excellence in Teaching Award. Thomas Scaglione, a representative from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office, presented Venditto, a tiered support teacher, with an award plaque at the school. Peekskill Students Honored At Manhattanville Colege PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Several Peekskill High School students were recently honored by the Black Scholars Community Partnership, Manhattanville College and the Urban League of Westchester. Mother Honors Slain Poughkeepsie Son At Graduation POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Cathis Johnson went to Poughkeepsie High School's 144th graduation ceremony on Friday to collect a diploma on behalf of her son, who was fatally shot earlier this year, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Shelton To Begin Demolition Of Former Chromium Process Site SHELTON, Conn. -- Shelton Mayor Mark A. Lauretti announced that the contract for the demolition of the Chromium Process site at 113 Canal St. has been awarded to the Standard Demolition Services of Trumbull, according to Valley Independent Sentinel. The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development/Office of Brownfield Remediation Development awarded Shelton a $1,519,470 grant, which will fund the demolition, Valley Independent Sentinel reported.
