BRONXVILLE, N.Y. Concordia College mens soccer goalkeeper Ruel Gordon has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week for the week of Sep. 24 through 30.
Gordon, a native of Savanna La Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica, had two shutouts and recorded 19 saves, allowing just one goal for the Clippers, who went 2-1 during the last week of September.
Ruel, a freshman, is ranked first in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II in saves per game with eight.
The Clippers are 3-6 overall and will be back in action Tuesday afternoon with a CACC match against Nyack with kickoff set for 3 p.m.
