BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - Police in Bronxville arrested a man after responding to a 911 call regarding an unwanted person inside a village residence.

Shortly after 10:45 p.m. on Monday, May 15, police were dispatched to a Bronxville home following the reported incident. According to police, upon arrival, officers observed a physical altercation inside the residence between two parties.

Police said that one man - whose name has not been disclosed - was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and a domestic incident report was completed by the responding officers. The man was arraigned in Bronxville Village Court before Judge George McKinnis, who released him on his own recognizance. He is due back in court later this year.

Other items on the Bronxville Police Department blotter from Monday, May 15 through Tuesday, May 23 include:

  • At noon on Tuesday, May 16, police were sent to the Bronxville Tennis Courts, where there was an elderly man reportedly stealing tennis balls and bothering members of the club trying to practice. Police said they interviewed the man who returned the balls and left the area without further incident.
  • On Thursday, May 18, police were dispatched to a Pondfield Road business when the owner reported that another business owner had “entered his establishment flailing around a dead bird.” Police were able to contact a family member who took responsibility for the fowl-wielding man and stated that he would take him for a medical evaluation.
  • Later that day, police received a call regarding a barefoot man wearing blue jeans who was walking through backyards on Pondfield Road. Officers were able to track down the man, who “appeared to be in an altered mental state.” The man ultimately had to be restrained by police and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a psychological evaluation by the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
