Lawrence Hospital Presents Osteoporosis Symposium

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Osteoporosis is a silent disease that affects more than 10 million people, many of whom may be unaware they are suffering from it. Both men and women are susceptible to the disease, which results in a thinning of the body's bones.

Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville is offering a free educational presentation about this health problem at its first-ever Osteoporosis Symposium on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. inside Palmer Hall's third floor conference room. An expert panel of Lawrenceclinicians has been assembled for a multi-disciplinary discussion about osteoporosis. Peter Rizzo, an orthopedic surgeon, Tatyana Morton, an Internal Medicine Specialist and Richard Doscher, RD, a Clinical Nutrition Manager, will participate in a talk about thisdebilitating condition that will include symptoms, various treatments and strategieson how best to minimize its impact on your life.
