Breaking News: Frozen Raspberries Recalled Due To Possible Hepatitis A Contamination

Bronxville Police Conducting Ongoing Investigation

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville police are continuing an investigation into a Halloween crime. The owner of the Fine Arts Gallery on Pondfield Road said that an Hispanic man and woman entered her gallery at about 6:30 pm on Halloween night. After browsing, the couple chose an item to purchase but insisted on paying in cash and refused to provide any identification.

According to police, the woman and the owner continued a discussion while the man separated himself and then allegedly removed $1,500 in case from the owner's purse located on a desk at the rear of the establishment. The theft was noticed after the duo left abruptly. Detectives canvassed the area, but were not able to locate either person.

Police are also still looking for a man who was in the process of shoplifting an item at CVS on November 8, at 1:54 pm. The man was confronted by the manager and employees of the store and police were called. Police responded to the location but the man fled in the interim and was not found.

A Bronx man was issued several traffic citations and had his car impounded on November 15. Police say Hicmatu Carmack was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Carmack was stopped in Bronxville last July for speeding, but he never dealt with that infraction and his license was subsequently suspended. Police said Carmack is due back in court on November 30.
