The sixth-graders toured the school, reconnected with peers and received introductions.
The school’s youngest students had the building to themselves before the official start of school, which allowed them to become acquainted with their teachers, practice using their lockers, and learn about the responsibilities and independence that come with being a middle school student.
The students also learned dining room etiquette through a special session in the cafeteria. They discovered that they are able to sit wherever they like at lunchtime and are encouraged to invite new friends to join them.
Their parents were welcomed and introduced to the school by Principal Susan Howard, who explained the daily routine and other important information to attendees.
