State Trooper In Hudson Valley Accused Of Sexually Abusing Victim 'Known To Him,' Police Say A state trooper is facing multiple charges after police say he sexually abused a victim known to him. Orange County resident Matthew A. Stivala, age 32, of the Town of Monroe, was arrested on Saturday, July 23, and charged with: Two counts of first-degree sexual abuse (a Class D felony), First-degree criminal sex act (a Class B felony), Forcible touching (misdemeanor).  The charges stem from multiple incidents involving Stivala and the victim, police said. Two Hospitalized After Fiery Crash In Northern Westchester Two people were hospitalized after a fiery crash on a busy roadway in Northern Westchester. It happened just before noontime on Tuesday, May 25 in Somers on Route 100 and Elmer Galloway Road. Before arrival by firefighters and EMS personnel, a state trooper applied a tourniquet to a seriously injured driver of one of the vehicles, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Man Tried To Steal Trooper's Firearm During Struggle In Northern Westchester, Police Say A man attacked a state trooper and tried to steal his gun after he was pulled over for a routine traffic violation and found in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine faces a slew of criminal charges, police said.  According to state police, 52-year-old Aaron Hudson of Cortlandt was pulled over at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10 on Warren Street in the town of Somers.  After police found crack cocaine in Hudson's black Volvo XC-90, police said, he violently resisted arrest, pitching himself and a state trooper over a guide rail and into a stream bed five feet below.  Hudson r…
