Fox Lane to Hold Fundraising Bowling Day at Gpny

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.—Grand Prix New York is gearing up to help give back, as they will be hosting the Fox Lane Boosters Club Winter 2012 Gala and Fundraiser on January 28, an all-day event held at the Spins Bowl, the newly installed 19 bowling lanes in the complex. This is the first time any group will be taking over the entire Spins facility for an entire day.

The event, benefits the Bedford Central School District, will be to support the field changes and maintenance at the Fox Lane High School and Middle School campuses, as well as the two new annual athletic scholarships that go to the “unsung hero” senior boy and girl. It will be an all-day affair, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 11 p.m.

“This is a perfect place to hold our winter gala,” said Roger Stern, Fox Lane Sports Boosters Club president. “Bowling is a fun sport for people of all skill levels and Grand Prix New York is a great place to hang out and socialize, even for people who don’t want to bowl.”

The day will be broken into three sessions, with the first being from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for elementary-aged bowlers and their parents. The second session, from 1:30  to 4 p.m., is for middle school and high school children. From 4:30 to 11 p.m., the adults will bowl, with a competitive VIP round that will include prizes. Along with the bowling, there will be a silent auction.

“We’ve hosted fundraisers for a number of international, national and regional charities, but it’s especially gratifying to help give back to local groups helping out in their communities,” said Nat Mundy, vice president of marketing for Grand Prix New York. “This event for the Fox Lane Sports Boosters Club is going to be a marathon, but we’re looking forward to making it memorable for everyone involved.”
