Less than two years after r esigning as the White House communications director , Fairfield County native Hope Hicks is back in DC, this time as an aide to a member of the Trump family and administration.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, the White House announced that the 31-year-old Hicks, who grew up in Greenwich and became a key figure in President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, will return, this time as Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner's senior adviser.

Hicks’ official title will be as a counselor to the president.

"There is no one more devoted to implementing President Trump's agenda than Hope Hicks," Kushner said in a statement Thursday. "We are excited to have her back on the team."

Since leaving the White House, Hicks has served as the head of communications for Fox Corporation. Before leaving her post in Trump’s administration, she was reportedly considered one of his most trusted confidantes.

Before her time as White House communications director, Hicks was a model and served as an aide to the fashion brand of Ivanka Trump, Kushner's wife and also a senior advisor to the president.

"I have worked with Hope for almost six years and can say without hesitation she is one of the most talented and savvy individuals I have come across," White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement. "She has always impressed me with her quiet confidence, loyalty, and expertise, and I am beyond thrilled to welcome Hope back to the White House.”

Hicks is a 2006 graduate of Greenwich High School, where she was a co-captain on the lacrosse team. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2010.
