Yonkers Driver Arrested On Drug Charge In Bedford

BEDFORD, N.Y.— A Yonkers man was arrested and charged with illegal possession of  oxycodone and dextroamphetamine pills when he was pulled over in Bedford on Monday, Aug. 6, according to the New York State Police in Somers. 

Slawonir J. Bak, 29, was stopped on I-684 at 4:20 p.m. going 84 mph in a 65 mph zone, police said. The arresting trooper's investigation revealed that Bak had five oxycodone pills and 1½ dextroamphetamine pills not prescribed to him, according to police.

Bak was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was released and issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Bedford Court for Aug. 16.
